Artworks by British street artist Banksy have been appearing overnight on buildings all over the world for the last two decades, spawning much speculation as to the identity of the mysterious and shadowy creative. But because the majority of his work has been destroyed, painted over or whisked into the hands of zealous private collectors, seeing Banksy’s daring political artwork first-hand requires an appetite for travel as soon as a new piece pops up.
To minimise mileage and maximise Banksy enjoyment this year, travellers can check out the new Banksy: Genius or Vandal exhibition at Immersion Vegas, a new exhibition space on the Las Vegas Strip. More than 70 Banksy works belonging to private collectors are on display, including original works, photographs, sculptures and video exhibits. The exhibition will run until April 5, following successful showings in Lisbon, Madrid and Moscow.
