As a tribute to the hotel’s heritage, that opened in 1927, Sheraton Grand London Park Lane has launched its ‘Nineteen Twen-Tea’ afternoon tea, harking back to the prosperity and golden era of the roaring 1920s. Served in The Palm Court to a backdrop of a live harpist, the tea features a menu inspired by the Twenties, yet with a contemporary twist – think sandwiches, salads, and sweets entitled Glamour Reborn 1927 Chocolate & Coffee Tart, Pistachio and Blackcurrant Paris Brest, all elegantly presented in a ‘birdcage’ cake stand, aptly named after the moniker the hotel received in the early Twenties. With a special ‘1927’ blend tea exclusively created by the award-wining Newby Tea, welcome to the most traditional tea experience in London.
