Four Seasons hotels are renowned for their hospitality and service par excellence, but also for their culinary prowess, with many of the properties claiming Michelin stars. Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita is elevating its gourmet game this season, with its multi-million dollar restaurant and bar renovation, set to be unveiled in October 2021.
The resort currently has four restaurants under its belt - including La Plaz Beach Grill on the hotel’s exclusive beach on Ile aux Cerfs and a Cotomili Herb Garden, with a dedicated cooking class area - with a brand new Lobby Bar being added to the billing, as well as a complete transformation of the beachfront Bambou Restaurant & Bar, through a structural re-build and new design concept from Macbeth Architects & Designers and EDG Design.
With its poolside location and sweeping views over the lagoon, Bambou will be extended with a larger covered seating area, as well as a new beachside location, allowing guests to dine al fresco to the soundtrack of the lapping Indian Ocean waves. By day Bambou will become the hotel’s new breakfast destination, before offering a Mediterranean-themed menu for lunch. Come night fall, the restaurant will lean towards a more Mauritian menu, showcasing the best of local Creole cuisine.
As for the new Lobby Bar, the hotel’s setting will take centre stage, with views over the tiered barachois. Seating 32 guests around its new central bar, a menu inspired by infused cocktails, sugar cane-based drinks and Mauritian-infused rums will keep thirst at bay. For those who like a little amuse-bouché whilst they sip their libations, the bar will also serve light tapas for lunch, and teas and coffees to keep guests fuelled throughout the day.
