Opening just in time to welcome the City of Light’s influx of summer tourists, Le Jardin at Cheval Blanc Paris is the hotel’s beautiful seventh-floor garden that promises to quench the thirst of residents and travellers with its innovative botanical menu. There are few prettier places in the capital, with its 650-metre panoramic ‘floating garden’ terrace awash with trees and flowers, and a vision dedicated to the French art de vivre.
Chef Béquin has composed a concise and colourful menu for both lunch and dinner, centred around the humble yet multi-faceted strawberry and tomato. For dessert, pastry chef Maxime Frédéric has whipped up a menu whispering sweet nothings about the sun-saturated strawberry too, while head bartender Florian Thireau shakes up a cocktail storm to complement the sunset over the Sacré-Coeur, with reworked and refined Pisco Sours, Daiquiris and Margaritas that use olive oils as the keystone of their summery recipes.
