A new luxury idyll has debuted off the coast off Abu Dhabi, comprised of 32 ultra-luxury boutique beach villas, alongside 23 residential water villas and beach estates.
Zaya Nurai Island is just a 10-minute boat ride from the UAE capital and is positioning itself as a barefoot luxury paradise for fine dining, water sports, spa treatments and, of course, a hotel stay.
All of the 32 beach villas come with a private pool and patio area with direct access to the sandy shore. The accommodations come equipped with Aqua Di Parma Amenities but more impressive is the dedicated butler, on hand 24 hours a day.
Offering a greater level of privacy and space, residential water villas and beach estates range from four- to six-bedroom villas.
“Barefoot luxury is all about leaving the world behind and stepping onto our paradise island, kicking off your shoes and just being yourself,” said Stephen Gee, director of operations for Zaya Nurai Island.
“Throughout the island we have made sure that guests are pampered, but most of all that they really are able to relax and have fun during their time with us. Zaya Nurai Island is no ordinary retreat; it is a heavenly getaway with real personality and quirky touches.”
Foodies fear not; you won’t have to swim back to the mainland to get your fill. That’s thanks to Nurai’s Terrace, advertised as a relaxing dining experience, serving organic, seasonal produce sourced from local farms.
The Pool Bar will also will also be dishing out al fresco delights, doubling up as a rustic venue for bonfires and late-night moonlight beach conversations. If that doesn’t cut it, Shisha Deck offers ocean panoramas for after dinner drinks, ahead of another trio of dining destinations set to open throughout 2015.
The island’s spa will open early this year with a dedicated in-house yoga guru who will hold regular group and individual yoga classes, designed to aid with the balance between physical, mental and emotional health.
If you can’t sit still for that long, the 5* PADI Dive Centre will offer dive certification, as well as a boutique retail store and a fleet of dive boats. There’s also a plethora of other marine activities, such as the highly accessible pastime of stand up paddle boarding, to windsurfing, sea kayaking and kite surfing.
