Four Seasons is looking to make an impact on Bogotá’s hotel scene with a duo of revamped properties, as a sea of new upscale properties are popping-up all over the city.
First up, the historic Hotel Casa Medina Bogotá is due to reopen as Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogotá late-2015 after being closed in December for extensive renovations.
In addition, the contemporary Hotel Charleston Bogotá will be reincarnated as Four Seasons Hotel Bogotá. Both properties will be ready to accept guests later this year.
The two hotels will both bring a global perspective to dining – from tapas to Japanese-style robata – in a city already considered to be a dining destination for travellers heading to South America.
Hotel Casa Medina has served luxury travellers in central Bogotá for many years, offering in an historic, colonial-style French and Spanish building, packed with contemporary features.
When it debuts as Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogotá, the hotel will offer even more modern amenities as well as re-imagined room design concepts and meeting facilities. Four Seasons Hotel Bogotá will open after a complete redesign of all of the guestrooms and suites.
"As travel to and within South America for both business and leisure continues to increase among luxury travellers from around the world, we've been looking for the right opportunity to enter the Bogotá market," said Allen Smith, Four Seasons’ CEO.
