The 28th spa in the group’s portfolio continues the trend of openings in alternative locations and major cities across the globe.
Within one of the region’s tallest buildings, this new opening sits adjacent to The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty, an extensive shopping mall and residential complexes.
The latest Six Senses Spa is nested on the 20th floor of the Esentai Tower, with five treatment rooms that capture the city’s urban views and nearby snow-capped mountains.
The financial and cultural destination’s aesthetics are mirrored in the facility, according to the brand. The spa offers both energising and relaxing treatments, akin to the sensory stimulation and movement on street level, or the calm quiet of the local parks.
Measuring 1,500 square metres (16,145 square foot), guests have space to enjoy a full range of facilities, which include hammams, saunas, steam and ‘experience showers’. There is also an amply stocked fitness centre and a studio for other wellness activities.
The spa menu includes Six Senses’ signature specialties and a range of Nannic face and body treatments, which are said to deliver immediate firming and lifting results. Relaxation pods are bathed in mood lighting and the calming water fountain mirrored across the room is designed to augment the post-treatment calm.
The Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas group now boasts nine resorts and 29 spas, within the Six Senses Spa, Evason and Six Senses brands. The latter operates resorts in far-flung locations and has set plans to double in size over the next three years.
