Dubai’s home-grown super-club, BASE, has set its sights on Mykonos where it is now bringing its energy, luxury service and rotation of deep-house and techno DJs to the Ftelia beachfront every Monday for six weeks.
This follows the success of international pop-up events at the Monaco and Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Moscow FIFA World Cup, as well as Art Basel Miami. Guests are likely to see A-list celebs, with previous regular appearances by JLo, Naomi Campbell, Mick Jagger and French Montana. Sven Väth and Apollonia kicked off the pop-up events in July, which will continue in August with Guy Gerber on August 12, Blondish on August 5 and Luciano on August 19.
Located at the popular Ftelia Bay, BASE will take over Ftelia Beach Club on Monday evenings. Designed by Italian architect, Fabrizio Casiraghi, the beachfront was inspired by the famous resorts of the 1960s and 1970s in Southern France and coastal Italy, blending Mykonos’ cosmopolitan vibe with its natural surroundings.
