Starting earlier this month and running until August 10, Melia’s flagship hotel, ME London, is hosting the Outside In graffiti exhibition in collaboration with Street Art London.
Bringing street art indoors, the exhibition sees five international graffiti artists creating works on canvas, which are projected directly onto the nine-storey marble walls of the hotel’s atrium (pictured below), transforming the uniquely shaped lobby into a living work of art.
Each with their own diverse background and style, contributors to the project include recognised street artists BRK, Christiaan Nagel, RUN, Thierry Noir and Zomby.
“It’s exciting to exhibit such an eclectic group of street artists and graffiti writers in such a rare environment and take these art-forms to new places and audiences in London,” said Richard Howard-Griffin, director of Street Art London.
Although the atrium backdrop will act as the centrepiece, the month-long exhibition will see artworks scattered throughout hotel, with signed pieces on sale for between US $185 and $12,000.
When: July 10 – August 10 (Projection presentations take place in the atrium twice daily at 3pm and 8pm GMT)
Where: ME London Hotel
Price: Free admission
