It’s called the Million Dollar Fantasy Big Game 50 Package for a reason. The Fairmont San Francisco is offering the chance for a wealthy “football” fan to indulge in what could be the most extravagant Super Bowl package in NFL history.
The Nob Hill hotel is inviting high rollers to snap up the million-dollar deal ahead of Sunday’s match between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos, taking place at the nearby Levi’s Stadium on February 7.
The package puts six guests in the lap of luxury at the hotel’s penthouse for four nights, with a range of perks on offer before, during and after America’s most celebrated sporting event. The buyer – and five buddies – will be mingling with NFL heroes and celebrities with VIP treatment on tap.

Sadly the penthouse’s panoramic views don’t quite give a view of the stadium, but with three bedrooms, a terrace and 6,000 square feet of space, the suite is almost big enough to host its own game of football. There’s even a formal dining room and kitchen, billiard room and a split-level library with a secret passageway.
During their stay, the guests will be treated to an open bar and a pantry stocked with their favourite snacks, and each will receive a monogrammed robe and NFL merchandise, the Daily Mail has reported. It was also reported the hotel will donate $150,000 to charity in the name of the person who purchases the package.
As you’d expect, luxury transportation is on offer to and from the game, as well as a lavish “tailgate party” with a chef and bartender from the hotel – the traditional pop-up events are usually a more ad hoc affair.
The Super Bowl is a bucket list activity for many Americans, as well as sports fans around the world. Tickets for last year’s event reached an average price of $10,000 a seat according to TiqIQ. The city is expected to swell by 100,000 fans, piling in to enjoy all of the surrounding festivities.
