From Miami and Las Vegas to Naples, we’ve watched the Rat Pack frolic in the world’s most glamorous locations both on and off screen. Now, you can party like Frank Sinatra in one of the ultimate 1960s Rat Pack haunts – the legendary Riviera Palm Springs, which has welcomed famous guests like Elvis Presley, Sonny and Cher, and Elizabeth Taylor since the 1920s. This is not just any old Palm Springs vacay, however: The resort is offering mere mortals the chance to take over the fully staffed California property with a buyout package priced at US$1 million.
The iconic retro spa at Riviera Hotel Palm Springs can be yours, for a couple days
For two nights, you and up to 599 of your closest friends can enjoy free reign over the facilities, with exclusive use of the 398 guest rooms, the 1,020-sqm SpaTerre, the Bikini and Chiki pool areas and 3,250 sqm of event space (indulgent work retreat or dream wedding, anyone?). Also included in the takeover are the hotel’s five restaurants and bars such as Circa 59, which takes full advantage of Riviera’s glamorous history with a dinner menu that rolled out earlier this year dubbed “Then & Now”. A delectable blast from the past, the chef will cook up dishes that were popular in the 1960s like Shrimp alla Lucullus and Veal Oscar. All in all, it’s money well spent for the ultimate retro-luxe treat.
