The event was designed to showcase the best of Australia’s food and wine, providing a gastronomic journey from red carpet arrivals to the final raw milk cheese plate. In between, a series of creative courses were served at Glenorchy Art and Sculpture Park (GASP) before dessert was served up at MONA’s Void gallery.
"Our global Restaurant Australia campaign set out to showcase Australia's impressive food and wine offering to the world, highlighting the depth and diversity of our local producers, chefs and winemakers - last night exceeded our expectations,” said John O'Sullivan, managing director of Tourism Australia.
In the lead up to the event, the 'Invite The World To Dinner' tour saw selected guests travel the country to experience more than a thousand of Australia's best food and wine offerings.
