London’s Claridge’s looks to be celebrating the festive season in style with its chic new Christmas tree display.
The hotel’s Dolce & Gabbana tree was installed on November 19, highlighting the special link between designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana and the Mayfair address.
The tree is adorned with hundreds of hand-painted blown glass spheres that illustrate London’s landmarks, and the surrounding ‘enchanted forest’ is teeming with woodland animals.
This is the fifth year the hotel has invited a special design for its Christmas tree and the property’s second consecutive D&G addition. Inspired by the designers’ childhood memories, the eight-metre-high tree’s design theme was titled “children of the world”.
More than 300 Italian glass baubles adorn the tree and were all hand-painted with international flags, symbolising the wide variety of festive traditions around the world.
