‘Studying the classics’ is set to take on a whole new meaning with the upcoming rebirth of the University Arms, as the landmark hotel in Cambridge’s historic centre prepares to unveil a stunning transformation under the impeccable hands (and eyes) of architect John Simpson and interior designer Martin Brudnizki.
The hotel’s 60s and 70s extensions have been replaced with a classically designed building that pays due homage to the vibrant literary and academic spirit of the city, while adding its own unique chapter to its story.
A stay here looks set to be a quintessentially British experience, blending grand tradition with characterful quirks – all done with that grand English air of quiet confidence, of course.
