None of the European Union’s 28 member states will require visas before departing to the UAE as of March 22 when a new ruling takes effect.
Visitors for business and/or pleasure will be free to fly into any of the UAE’s international airports, provided they have a passport aligned with an EU country, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decreed.
The new ruling comes directly after the EU Schengen visa was waived for Emiratis. The European parliament approved the move last week as part of a bilateral deal for relaxed rules.
