From serene moments on solitary sandbanks to underwater adventures among the coral, Soneva is all about once-in-a-lifetime experiences at its three resorts in the Maldives and Thailand. But a new calendar of “beyond bespoke” experiences promises to elevate the Soneva stay even further, giving guests insider access to inspirational figures from the worlds of gastronomy, literature, wellness, sports and the arts as part of its Festival of Colour.
Twenty eight world-class chefs have already signed on for exclusive dining experiences during the next 12 months, including top names like London’s Tom Aikens, Noma co-founder Claus Meyer and Berlin’s Tim Raue. Other luminaries including world-champion free-diver Umberto Pelizzari, astronomer Massimo Terenghi and historian Andrew Roberts are also confirmed to make special appearances, and many more will be rolled out during the course of the year.
To celebrate the yearlong programme, Soneva has teamed up with French director Bruno Aveillan to product a series of short films, which will be released monthly between now and February 2019; each dedicated to a different colour that inspired him during a visit to the Maldives.
