Another Atlantis is marked for Dubai’s Palm as the Royal Atlantis is announced alongside its near namesake.
Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has approved the development of the $1.5bn Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences, which is will contain 800 guestrooms and suites, as well as 250 hotel apartments.
Due to be completed in 2018, the resort will stand 46 storeys in height, adjacent to the existing Atlantis resort, boasting private gardens, interiors by GA Design, a beach club and a 90 metre-high Sky Pool.
The 250 luxe residences will offer doorstep access to fine dining and entertainment, with and will be designed by Sybille de Margerie Design.
“This next phase of Atlantis, including the luxury residences of The Royal Atlantis, will continue to drive the growth of Dubai forward,” said CEO of developer Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani.
