Turning 21 can be significant in various countries and cultures – but how often does it lead to a facelift and a new pool?
Banyan Tree Phuket is celebrating the milestone with a hotly anticipated re-launch and a complete redesign of some of its restaurants and villas. The most enticing upgrade, however, is the transition from the former Deluxe Villas, which are now Banyan Pool Villas.
The clue is in the name. Guests can now enjoy private soaking sessions with their own n-suite bathroom and his-and-hers private dressing areas. Also re-opening are two the resort’s restaurants; Thai dining destination Saffron and Watercourt, a lagoon facing eatery specialising in seafood.
Both restaurants will be helmed by Banyan Tree Phuket’s new exec chef, Alfonso de la Dehesa, who has worked extensively in some of the world’s very best restaurants including Michelin-starred El Bulli. To mark the resort’s relaunch, guests are being offered a “Stay 5, Pay 4” promotion from November 1 to December 20.
