A fourth floor private terrace of Ponte Vecchio, an ancient stone bridge in Florence, is to be opened exclusively for guests of Four Seasons Hotel Firenze this spring.
With unrivaled views of the Arno River and Vasarian Corridor, it is not just a stunning location but the first time guests have been given access to the unique location.
The format of the dinner can vary, depending on requirements, but guests will be treated to Michelin-starred cuisine from the Four Seasons staff.
"We wanted to offer a unique way to see Florence,” said general manager Patrizio Cipollini.
“Having a dinner at a place that’s such a symbol of the city was what we came up with. Our intention when we discovered this astonishing location, ideal for a romantic retreat where nobody has ever organized something so special, was to offer a unique experience to our guests,” he added.
The hotel’s Michelin-starred Chef Vito Mollica, who helms the restaurant Il Palagio, has designed a gold-themed dinner, which harks to the Ponte Vecchio’s history in the jewellery trade. Guests can enjoy a four-course meal beginning at sunset, with a bottle of Prosecco.
Dishes are made on site and include scallop carpaccio with golden citrus dressing, saffron risotto with sevruga caviar and golden leaves, and a golden chocolate sphere with Vin Santo zabaione by Pastry chef Domenico Di Clemente.
Further inspired by the history of the bridge, a Four Seasons ring is also on offer, forged from white gold with diamonds and a rose sapphire. Prices are available on request.
