Hot on the heels of its Big Apple coffee house, Ralph's Coffee, the American design firm has soft-opened its first clubhouse-esque restaurant.
Officially opening in January 2014, The Polo Bar will dish out fine American fare next door to the new Polo Ralph Lauren flagship store at Fifth Avenue and East 55th.
Styled in a classic aesthetic, Lauren himself has cited his love of gathering family and friends for meals and, of course, had more than just a hand in the eatery’s design.
With the Henry Koehler-inspired mural, saddle leather and equestrian art, the restaurant is a fitting tribute to the Ralph Lauren brand.
The cuisine on offer is a representation of the American icon’s personal favourites. Dishes include the kale salad, crab cakes, corned beef sandwish and the Polo Bar Burger, reports the New York Times.
