The official launch of Dubai Marina's Sparkle Towers project took place last night at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai.
Branded as 'Space Marveled by SWAROVSKI', the crystal-inspired towers will be adorned in jewelled décor, sparkling lighting applications and ‘crystal enhancements’ within its interiors, as part of a collaboration with Swarovski.
Developer Tebyan invited Markus Langes-Swarovski, great-great-grandson of Swarovski founder Daniel Swarovski, to the launch event to explain the jewellery specialist’s involvement with the upcoming luxury residences.
When asked about Swarovski’s creative involvement, Langes-Swarovski told DOTW News: “We’re at a very early stage still with the creative process."
"I believe we still have some time, even though it’s a very ambitious timeline until December 2016, to have everything finished, and we will continue our creative exchange with all the partners engaged in the project right now."
Tebyan executives explained they had been working closely with both local and international Swarovski consultants and interior designers, to ensure their ‘magical crystal solutions’ will be applied correctly to the development.
And the cut-glass heir explained that crystals would not simply be used in a decorative manner, but vowed the brand would help ensure a ‘sparkling experience’ for residents.
“We do have a lot of experience when it comes to creating spaces," added Langes-Swarovski. "If you look at our own projects, such as our museum in Austria, we’re experienced to not only use crystals in a decorative manner but also as a key protagonist for the design overall”.
And when it comes to future partnerships and interior design, Langes-Swarovski said this current collaboration was the beginning of a journey.
“The creative process is not yet over and we are still evolving for this project and we’ve talked about other opportunities but, right now, all our minds should be focussed on [Sparkle Towers] to make it a true success and to be what we’re claiming it will be,” he told DOTW News.
The development will comprise three towers ranging from 29, 14 and four storeys, including a shared pool area and discrete gym facilities for ladies.
