The largest passenger jet made by Boeing has capacity for more than 450 passengers. But, if you happen to own your own 747-8, you may choose to configure it a little different.
That’s what one superrich client of Greenpoint Technologies did. The unnamed businessman commissioned the business jet completion firm to customise the 20-foot wide and 200-foot long plane to ensure a true VVIP experience.
The company has issued a series of renderings that depict a dining room, two spacious lounges, a master suite, guest bedroom and comprehensive office. The project is reported to have taken three years.
Greenpoint also fitted Aeroflot lift facilities, which we reported were in the works last year, along with a bespoke stairway and eight sleeping berths above the main deck.
The large plane has a range of 9,200 miles and cruises at 600 mph, carrying a maximum load of one million pounds. The planes, with no trimmings, typically retail for around $358 million, but Greenpoint remains tight-lipped about the cost of its services.
