High-end safari aficionados Discover Africa has woven together a fortnight of luxury lodgings and African adventure, with newlyweds in mind.
Widely touted as the world’s most expensive honeymoon package, Nature, Romance, Exclusivity and Luxury - A Complete African Honeymoon is offered at US $9,321 per person per day, for 14 nights. Assuming the “moneymooners” travel together, the whole package tallies to just over $261,000. And that does not include flights.
The hefty price tag includes chopper rides over Cape Town’s Table Mountain, and the 12 Apostles, followed by a stay in a penthouse suite on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
The subsequent safari then takes happy couples through the wildlife-abundant Serengeti and gorilla trekking in Rwanda. And after visiting Masai villages in Tanzania, the trip also includes a stay at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
The bridge and groom can also toast their future on a jeep tour of wine estates that are not typically open to tourists. And to enhance the experience, extras include a Swarovski NC2 night vision telescope and $120 servings of Kopi Luwak coffee.
