HAVE IT ALL IN THE MALDIVES
It’s 50 shades of blue in the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve where Dusit Thani Maldives has fine-tuned the art of spoiling guests with gracious Thai hospitality. The serenity factor is at an all-time high, but all that lazing about on white-sand beaches, snorkelling in the island’s lagoon and spa-ing at Devarana Spa’s treetop treatment pods can work up an appetite. Thankfully the resort happens to be home to five award-winning restaurants and bars, including the signature Thai-inspired restaurant, Benjarong, and for those who don’t want to spend their stay calculating costs, the Dusit “All-Inclusive Luxury Retreat” package allows guests to dine at all of them, offering exceptional value for money. Covering all meals and selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, the four-night stay package also includes two round-trip domestic flight tickets from Malé International Airport to the resort and two 60-minute Swedish massages in a treetop treatment pod. In other words, it’s a luxurious stay that leaves nothing wanting.PRICE “Maldives All-Inclusive Luxury Retreat” from US$463 per person per night.

When you dream up the ideal honeymoon destination, what do you see? For the vast majority of us, it would look something very close to Furaveri Island Resort & Spa. The tropical 23-hectare coral island sits like a pearl among a necklace of islands in the Raa Atoll, just a short seaplane hop from Malé International Airport, or a domestic flight followed by speedboat. Loved-up honeymooners might only have eyes for each other, but their adoring gaze may break for a while to take in the surrounds – knock-out white-sand beaches, pod chairs swinging from coconut palms, the gently lapping turquoise sea – all in all, a scene seemingly plucked from a postcard. Among the inclusions in the “Experience Honeymoon” package are complimentary transfers and a VIP personalised villa check-in by a resort host; an utterly romantic, three-course, candle-lit dinner set up on your villa terrace or on the beach; a honeymoon bath ceremony with bubbles, petals and a bottle of sparkling wine; a 60-minute couples’ massage and spa discounts; a sunset cruise for two and a 30-minute photo session with a photographer, immortalising memories long after you return home.PRICE The “Experience Honeymoon” package in a Beach Pool Villa is priced at approximately US$4,271 for a four-night stay

Dubbed the superyacht of the Seine, Uniworld’s newest Super Ship S.S. Joie de Vivre is aiming to impart the “joy of living” to the rivers of France, with a number of sailings this year taking in Paris and Normandy’s countryside, uncovering Richard the Lionheart’s Chateau Gaillard, the medieval capital of Rouen, Monet’s beloved home in Giverny and the famed Normandy beaches.
