Set on the beautiful white beaches of Playa Bávaro in the Dominican Republic, Meliá Caribe Tropical has announced that it will be splitting its property into two distinct beachfront hotels. In order to enhance guest experiences, one will focus on family-friendly amenities and the other on adults-only options.
As the adults-only offering, Meliá Punta Cana Beach Resort will adopt the brand’s signature elevated service concept, known as THE LEVEL. This gives discerning guests preferential treatment in the VIP lounge for check in and out, as well as access to an exclusive pool and priority reservations for à la carte restaurants, spa treatments and golf courses.
Catering to a different market altogether, the neighbouring Meliá Caribe Beach Resort will specialise in family-friendly activities, services and amenities. Spread across 600 rooms – including 123 beachside family rooms and 154 THE LEVEL suites – the resort houses an interactive waterpark, state-of-the-art arcade and a myriad of regular live entertainment options.
Across the two properties, there will be a grand total of 13 restaurants to choose from, ranging from upmarket Mediterranean eatery ‘Mosaico’ to ‘Barefoot’, a casual beachfront grill and bar.
“By offering two distinct properties with specialised services, we are more able to cater to guests’ needs and enhance their travel experience,” said Alvaro Tejeda, Regional VP for Meliá, The Americas.
“Our guests have been requesting more adults-only options, as well as family-friendly amenities, so we are thrilled to be able to fulfil that need and offer a more tailored stay.”
