Guests at the 600-acre Jade Mountain, St Lucia resort will be able to celebrate the island’s cocoa trade and get to grips with the art of chocolatiering.
The scenic hangout houses the island’s only “bean to bar” boutique chocolate-making estate, with fresh beans sourced form the 1,000 cocoa trees on the Emerald Estate.
Guests at Jade Mountain and sister property Anse Chastanet can select a variety of activities, such as chocolate sensory tastings, educational estate trips and truffle making classes - all year round.
Chocaholics will be treated to cocoa-inspired dishes, cocktails, and body treatments all containing elements of the beloved bean. And for the ultimate experience, the twin resorts are hosting their Discover Chocolate Festival from October 10 to 14.
Both Jade Mountain’s Emerald Estate Organic Chocolate brand and its Chocolate Laboratory are managed by the resorts’ very own Chocolate Alchemist and Director of Pastry Wouter Tjeertes.
“Making use of the incredible flavor palate the Caribbean has to offer and maintaining the highest possible standards of quality are my greatest obsessions," said Tjeertes.
The resorts offer several chocolate packages throughout the summer, including Chocolate Alchemy with a two-night stay, or Dan Dous ("sweet tooth"), which includes four nights accommodation and chocolate-infused spa treatments.
