Desert island destinations may seem dreamy for divers, honeymooners and those content to flop on the beach for days on end, but they rarely appeal to kids. Things are a little different, however, at the ultra-luxe The Brando, which offers a special program for kids aged 6-12.
The Lagoon School hosts fun, hands-on learning activities, games, and treasure hunts to teach about the island, its creatures, and the importance of being an “eco-citizen” and kids can attend talks by naturalists, explore the island, and make discoveries of their own. No notebooks and blackboards – at the lagoon school, you learn while having fun and by observing the local fauna and flora.
To make it easier for parents and youngsters, the Brando offers strollers, high chairs, bottle warmers, books and games, cradles, and excursions suitable for younger guests. Upon arrival, a welcome gift also awaits the children in the villa. The sandy beach and the lagoon are an ideal playground and the main pool is supervised.
In addition, The Brando celebrates its fourth birthday next month along with Independence Day and Bastille Day – and has decided to extend its “Fly Free” transfer promotion to July 31. Guests will get free round trip tickets for inter-island flights between Tahiti and Tetiaroa for 2 adults when booking three nights or more.
