In a time of depleted travel, hotels all around the world have opened their virtual doors to allow guests to engage from the comfort of their sofas. Targeting budding conservationists, Six Senses Laamu, Maldives, has launched its home-based Junior Marine Biology Programme, where turtles are teachers and reef fish can be made out of egg cartons and bottle tops. Kids can log on to see turtles hatching in May, explore seagrass and mangroves, make friends with manta rays and swot up on sustainability, all from the safety of their home. Virtual travel at its best.
