Four Seasons Resort Langkawi pays tribute to traditional local fishing techniques at Rumah Ikan Fish House, a stilted off-shore pavilion where guests can try out time-honoured methods for plucking fresh fish straight from the sea. The resort has worked with a local fisherman named Pak Din to design the fish house, which is constructed from local wood just off the resort’s mile-long beach.
Adults and junior visitors can visit the fish house to see Pak Din demonstrate generations-old fishing techniques, or simply marvel at the breath-taking surroundings, where forest-covered limestone ‘karsts’ rise up out of the Andaman Sea.
