Mandarin Oriental is touting its new Fans of MO social platform, offering guests the chance to share holiday photographs and documents their favourite experiences, which can also be shared via Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter.
Website visitors are encouraged to describe their experiences that will appear within a collage of other posts – hand selected by a dedicated team and frequently updated. Users simply need to create a guest profile and share why they are fans of the hotel chain.
The Fans of MO portal also gives visitors the ability to book a hotel stay directly from guest-generated content, by selecting “reserve this experience”.
There are also featured posts from Mandarin Oriental’s celebrity fans, seamlessly integrated into the content stream.
“Many of our guests already share their experiences via social media and increasingly use our hashtag #FanofMO," said Jill Kluge, group director of brand communications.
"We are therefore delighted to expand the social content on our website and provide guests with a truly creative way to explore our legendary hotels around the world."
