As the struggle between digital and print media finds its equilibrium, some hotels are rethinking their age-old morning newspaper offering.
Trump Hotel Collection has decided to ditch paper and provide complimentary, unlimited access to top newspapers and magazines, making The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times fully available via PressReader, which features over 2,500 US and international titles.
Research by the hotel group finds that guests prefer a wider selection of reading options and are increasingly environment-conscious when it comes to wasting paper.
Once connected to a Trump hotel’s WiFi network, guests can download PressReader onto their device and enjoy free access to a range of publications.
The move to roll out PressReader access across all Trump hotels follows the successful trial at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago late last year.
“We applaud Trump Hotel Collection’s environmentally-friendly business practices, and for maintaining the top-tier luxury service standards with a convenient and personalized experience for international and domestic guests.” said Igor Smirnoff, COO of PressReader.
