If you have any budding marine biologists or active animal lovers to keep occupied this summer, pay a visit to The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi. The Middle East’s largest aquarium has just unveiled a new interactive kids zone called Bella & Rio’s Playground, which offers creative and visual learning tools for children and you, the parents.
Located in the Flooded Forest, and named after the aquarium’s beloved Hyacinth Macaws, Bella and Rio, the new space offers fun and exciting facts about animals and the rainforest, as well as different play zones where kids can colour their favourite animal and watch it come to life on an animated wall display. Elsewhere, kids can also video map their own volcano, interact with plankton, meet Khalid the pearl-diving persona and play with the ice-age interactive.
