The verdant surrounds of the Malaysian rainforest are the setting for a special one-off collaboration by three of the world’s leading female chefs, this October. Bringing their award-winning culinary talents to the kitchens of The Datai Langkawi, Angela Hartnett of Murano in London, Lisa Goodwin-Allen of Northcote in Lancashire, and Nieves Barragán Mohacho of Sabor in London will curate a special six-hand dinner for the property’s annual gastronomic activation, The Chef Series. Labelled the Chef-fe (the French term for female chef) Series, the activation spotlights the growing representation of female chefs in the culinary world.
Running from 11th to 13th October, the UK based chefs – each heading up Michelin-starred venues – will craft a bespoke menu of dishes that are guided by the produce of Langkawi, as well as showcasing the organic ingredients sourced from the resort’s zero-waste Permaculture Garden.
