Perched amidst the luscious greenery, olive groves and pine trees of Bodrum Peninsula’s beautiful Paradise Bay, Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum, is a contemporary enclave providing refinement and refuge for sun-seekers tapping up Turkey for culture and perfect summer climes. Renowned for its sensational waterfront setting with views over the Aegean, the hotel is adding more icing on its cake with the opening of three new restaurants for the summer season. First up is award-winning Chinese restaurant Hakkasan, renowned the world over for setting the benchmark for modern, high-end Cantonese cuisine. Here, iconic dishes, such as grilled black cod with truffle sauce and wok-fried Boston lobster will be eaten al fresco against a backdrop of world-class mixology, exclusive musical acts and stellar sea views.
The second opening, Atelier Di Carne, is an innovative steakhouse with celebrated Italian butcher, Dario Cecchini, at the helm and in collaboration with Sam Nazarian’s US-based Disruptive Restaurant Group, which is known for brands such as Katsuya, Doheny Room and Cleo. Fans who saw Cecchini on Netflix’s Chef’s Table series, will witness his passion for the art of butchery, waste elimination and sustainability, as he brings a new dimension to the conventional notion of meat preparation, served alongside ethically-sourced seafood and ‘to beef or not to beef’ dishes.
Lastly, Lucca by the Sea is a restaurant-bar with sprawling views of the sea, producing a laid-back menu of Mediterranean dishes, seafood with a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Turkish fish market, and creatively curated cocktails set to live Turkish music and DJs after dark. What to sink your teeth into first?
