One of Milan's most exclusive restaurants, Seta, at Mandarin Oriental, has revealed an exclusive new dining space, the Duomo Private Dining Room, adding another level of luxury to its current two-Michelin star offering.

The bespoke furnishings and decorative pieces are a culmination of the latest collaboration between the Piero Fornasetti's atelier and Mandarin Oriental, which is the only hotel in the world to have an exclusive Fornasetti Suite designed by the company.
Look around the dining room, and artistic influences are everywhere... Named after the Duomo Sommerso wall panel art, which is based on an illustration by Piero Fornasetti in 1951, the artwork portrays Milan's cathedral underwater with myriad fish swimming round it, beautifully blurring the boundaries between reality and illusion.

Hanging on the wall, you'll also see vintage decorative plates from Piero's Cupole d'Italia series of church cupola reproductions, while two corner cupboards are decorated with Piero's depictions of early 20th-century soprano Lina Cavalieri, known as the 'most beautiful woman in the world' by her fans.
Merging the worlds of interior design and haute cuisine, Seta's Executive Chef, Antonio Guida, has created a celebratory dish - risotto with oyster, caviar and wood sorrel - inspired by the Fornasetti-designed interiors and reimagining the dining room's marine theme for the palate.

Able to accommodate eight guests, and host food and wine tastings and bespoke culinary events, this exquisite new space is a feast for the eyes, as much as the tastebuds. Dive in.
