Zuma Dubai has placed on the final 10 list for World’s Best Restaurant Cocktail Bar at this year’s 11th annual Tales of the Cocktail® Spirited Awards. It’s the third year running that the multi-award winning Dubai venue has been nominated and placed on the final 10 list. Zuma Dubai remains the only cocktail bar ever from the Middle East to be nominated at Tales of the Cocktail® awards.
The annual Tales of the Cocktail® Spirited Awards is held in New Orleans every July to celebrate the best from the international cocktail and drinks industries. Voting takes place around the globe with industry leaders, brand ambassadors and drinks writers submitting their nominations and votes for selected US and international categories. In each category the Tales of the Cocktail® Spirited Awards team announce a final 10 selection before revealing the winner. Due to the high-profile voting panel and strict criteria, the Tales of the Cocktail® Spirited Awards boast some of the most coveted awards in the business.
Zuma’s global bar development director Jimmy Barrat said, “We have been nominated and on the final 10 list three years in a row which is a great achievement for us. There are many great restaurant bars globally and also from the Middle East which are not on the list, and that shows how competitive the category is. Unsurprisingly, the UK made the biggest impression in the final 10 list, with five bars (four in London), nominated alongside Zuma Dubai, such as City Social and Sexy Fish.
