If JAY Gatsby had a taste for maritime exploration, he would have been the first in line for this oceanic extravaganza, a 140-night voyage around the world in one of the largest luxury suites at sea. Setting off from Miami in January 2027, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ World Cruise will carry passengers on a voyage to some of the most picturesque corners of the world, travelling through the Caribbean, South Pacific and Australasia before winding around the coasts of Asia, Africa and Europe. By May, Seven Seas Splendor will cross the Atlantic on the journey to New York, where the epic journey reaches its end.
During the 35,668-nautical-mile voyage, the Explorer-Class ship will call in at 71 ports in 40 countries, and guests will enjoy 14 overnight stays in some of the most captivating harbours in the world, free to explore destinations including Los Angeles, Sydney, Bali and Mumbai. As part of the all-inclusive offering, passengers will be able to embark on 480 different shore excursions, from active, culinary and wellness experiences to exploring some of the 73 UNESCO World Heritage sites visited during the journey. In addition to these world wonders, three special shoreside experiences are planned to immerse guests in the spirit of each destination.
Mini-festivals in Panama City and Colombo will include live music, dance and culinary experiences that showcase each destination’s history and traditions, while the final festival in Málaga will celebrate the spirit of the Roaring 20s, with vintage cars and a glamorous evening of entertainment. More surprises await onboard, especially for guests travelling in the unsurpassed luxury of the Regent Suite. Home to a Steinway piano, original artwork by Picasso and a vast terrace providing 270-degree views of the landscape ahead, the Regent Suite is a palatial abode that comes with a host of additional services fit for a king. As well as an in-suite spa with sauna and steam room and the services of a private butler, guests have the use of a private car and driver in every port and will doze of each night in a Hästens Vividus mattress and bed set-up worth more than US $200,000.
Stepping aboard this palace at sea for the 2027 Word Cruise costs a cool $1.64 million for the lucky couple, while smaller suites start from a comparatively modest $97,360 per guest. All guests will live in the lap of luxury throughout the journey. Nine dining options spanning classic French cuisine, Pan-Asian dining, Italian and more can be explored as part of the all-inclusive journey, while cooking classes at the Culinary Arts Kitchen and soothing treatments at Serene Spa & Wellness promise onboard indulgence during this epic adventure.
