Broadwick Soho, a boutique hotel built on the corner of Berwick Street and Broadwick Street in the heart of London’s West End is set to open this month. The exterior of the hotel has been reimagined by ICA Studio with part of the brick facade of the hotel retained as a legacy of the former building that once occupied the spot, and the new part taking cues from the 1920s warehouse buildings that can be found in the area. The hotel is set to stand out for its rich Art Deco-style interior orchestrated by Martin Brudnizki of Annabel’s and Scott’s fame in London and The Beekman and Hotel Barriere Fouquet’s in New York. Each of the 57 rooms and suites has bespoke furniture and individually selected artworks by the likes of Francis Bacon, Bridget Riley and Andy Warhol among others.
Geometric patterns and vibrant prints are complemented by a soothing colour scheme alongside bathrooms with marble basins, walk-in rain-showers and sustainable luxury amenities. Dear Jackie, the hotel’s flagship restaurant, will serve classic Italian fare with a modern twist. At Bar Jackie, both hotel guests and locals can enjoy a barista-made coffee or evening aperitivo. The resident-only lounge, The Nook, offers a relaxing escape with its fireplace, books and vinyl player for guests to enjoy. The rooftop dining bar and terrace, Flute, offers views over the rooftops of London. A sizable private dining room located on top of Flute, offers seating for up to 24 guests.
