2024 is here and with it comes one of the most anticipated hotel openings in Dubai: One&Only One Za’abeel is now welcoming guests to its two gleaming skyscrapers.
Situated in the neighbourhood of Za’abeel, the hotel is set to be one of the city’s most instantly recognisable buildings with two towers connected by the world’s largest cantilever that sits 100 metres above the ground, known as the Link.

“Kerzner International has always challenged conventions – and our first One&Only Urban Resort is no exception,” says Philippe Zuber, Chief Executive Officer, Kerzner International. “One&Only One Za’abeel redefines what it means to provide ultra-luxury hospitality in the heart of a city. Our Urban Resorts have all the elements of One&Only’s DNA – life and energy, space and privacy, curated experiences and exceptional service – translated to a dynamic urban setting.”
Interiors are all about space, seclusion, and effortless living, taking inspiration from the surrounding area’s name, Za’abeel meaning ‘white sand’ in local Emirati dialect. Imagined by Belgian designer Jean-Michel Gathy, neutral tones and subtle sand motifs in the textiles, artworks, and sculptural lighting can be seen throughout.

Described as the first One&Only Urban Resort, it is also the first hotel in the collection to offer guests one-of-kind corner suites, all fitted with unique amenities. The Grand Panoramic Suite showcases 180-degree views of the city’s skyline, whereas tired travellers looking for a rejuvenating treatment can settle into a Sanctuary Suite, replete with massage table, meditation and stretching zone, exercise equipment and in-room spa treatments. If you’re feeling inspired, let the juices flow in the Creative Suite, which features acoustic panelling and the latest AV technology.
Hit the comfort button in The Royal Suite where a lounge with standalone bar, dedicated dining area with seating for 10 guests and a private sitting room awaits. Or live it up in the Villa One penthouse that reimagines One&Only’s signature beach villas at a lofty height with two bedrooms, a majlis, outdoor infinity pool, cinema, and gym. Extra touches include a dedicated host, in-villa personal training and spa treatments, and access to a private chef when you don’t want to leave your suite to eat.

The aforementioned futuristic boulevard, The Link, spotlights culinary concepts from Michelin-lauded chefs, including Anne-Sophie Pic, Bo Songvisava and Dylan Jones, Mehmet Gürs, Paco Morales and Tetsuya Wakuda, as well as One&Only’s homegrown beach club Tapasake, where guests can enjoy a dip in the UAE’s longest infinity pool and dive into cocktails and Japanese-Peruvian fare from plush cabanas. If you’re after a dance, head to the top of the Link for destination bar, Sphere for music, entertainment, and drinks.
When it’s time to slow down, press the reset button at the Longevity Hub by Clinique la Prairie where there are 29 treatment rooms, a Movement Studio with state-of-the-art facilities and a Longevity Bar where you can enjoy a revitalising shake.
