Opening this summer, InterContinental Halong Bay Resort is poised to become the first luxury destination resort in Vietnam’s iconic Ha Long Bay. Set within the Ha Long Marina Urban Area near Bai Chay, the new beachfront property will offer a culturally rich and design-forward retreat for travellers seeking nature, wellness and elevated hospitality.

With 174 guestrooms and suites, 60 residences and 41 private villas, the resort blends local heritage with contemporary luxury. Designed by WATG and P49Deesign, the architecture draws on Vietnam’s folklore and natural landscape: think bamboo boat motifs, pearl-inspired textures and sweeping views of the bay’s limestone karsts.

Guests can enjoy six dining venues, including the rooftop Roku & Sky Bar offering Japanese cuisine with a local twist, and Yulong Mansion, a two-storey Cantonese restaurant featuring private rooms and theatrical tableside service. The resort also introduces wellness collaborations with Margaret Dabbs London and Sodashi, offering healing rituals and sensory spa experiences.

InterContinental Halong Bay will cater to all generations with three outdoor pools, a kids’ club, cinema-equipped game room and beachside sports. For events, it offers five indoor and outdoor venues, including a grand ballroom that accommodates up to 1,050 guests.
