Much like its supercar counterpart, Tonino Lamborghini has quickly garnered a reputation for quality, style and grace. From techno-lux smartphones to ultra high-end sunglasses, the brand has offered the world’s elite the very best in luxury accessories for over 30 years, all with the expert craftsmanship and innovative spin expected of the Lamborghini name.
With numerous branded hotels opening in China in the last few years, it looks like the company will now bring its luxury expertise to the burgeoning travel and leisure market of the Middle East. The brand hopes to introduce its first boutique-style resort to Dubai by 2016 – making it Lamborghini’s first hotel outside Asia.
“We have three different hotel concepts now: the resort, the business and the boutique. We are discussing opening a fourth hotel here. I say discussing because we didn’t sign an agreement yet, but everything is done,” Gianluca Filippi, CEO of Tonino Lamborghini, told Arabian Business.
“Dubai would be more iconic, as in close to the boutique hotel. Not a business hotel. I would like my hotel to be opened by the end of 2016,” he added.
The company has already shown an interest in the United Arab Emirates. Late last month, Tonino Lamborghini launched the first edition of its ‘Antares’ luxury smartphone in Dubai, and has recently announced plans to open 21 stores across the Middle East – including a flagship in the UAE.
The Italian group currently boasts three hotels in China, and expects to open four more in the country before 2016. Details of the Dubai-based resort are yet to be revealed.
