Synonymous with the city itself, Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands has become a hospitality legend since its opening in 2010. With its original creator, Safdie Architects, at the helm, the hotel is poised to undergo a design and programme overhaul starting in July 2025. In 2029, once completed, the property will unveil a new luxury all-suite hotel tower, with a sky roof, a 15,000-seat entertainment arena intended to be the leading live entertainment venue in Asia, as well as new gastronomic and nightlife offerings. These enhancements are separate to a US $1.75 billion reinvestment in the existing property. The first phase of transformation saw an extensive upgrading of 1,280 rooms across Towers 1 and 2, with the addition of 390 new suites.

These include unique suite types such as the Horizon Suite, inspired by spa and wellness concepts, and the Family Suite, ideal for families with young children, featuring a kitchenette as well as a children’s room with bunk beds, a bookshelf of storybooks and exclusively curated Adventure Packs. To expand on the gastronomy offerings, the Paiza Sky Club was also added to the 55th floor of Tower 2. The multi-concept executive club lounge features a tea vault, bespoke whiskey bar, private liquor locker, garden conservatory and a buffet served from open kitchens helmed by top chefs. The second phase of transformation will focus on Tower 3, the Hotel Lobby and Sands SkyPark. Tower 3 will get more than 550 redesigned rooms, including approximately 380 suites by 2025. Additional upgrades will include a reimagined VIP arrival experience, new dining and retail offerings, a redesigned lobby and a renewed focus on the wellness experiences for guests.
