Anantara is set to launch its second Brazilian property in 2026. Anantara Preá Ceará Resort will be located on Brazil’s golden northeast coast in the wild paradise of Preá. The resort will be a sanctuary of modern eco-chic spread over 52,000 sqm of beachfront. Ceará is well known for its sand dunes and beaches, lagoons, and mangroves, with around a third of the state’s territory forming part of the Jericoacoara National Park. The coastline is well established as one of the country’s popular spots for watersports, such as windsurfing, kitesurfing and wing foil surfing. As part of the Vila Carnauba development, guests will have access to all of Vila Carnaúba’s amenities, such as restaurants and bars, sports facilities, gym, kids club, kitesurfing school, and a variety of nature walks.
Developed in partnership with Grupo Carnaúba, the resort will house 60 guestrooms and villas, 25 branded residential bungalows, some with private pools, and a 1,290-square-foot Presidential Suite. The resort will also be home to a regional restaurant and a signature spa. The eco-resort, which will feature natural and regional materials, is being designed and decorated by Brazilian architect Miguel Pinto Guimarães. The sustainable and social initiatives of Vila Carnaúba are an essential element of this partnership. These will include waste disposal and recycling, reforestation initiatives, replanting of carnauba wax palm trees indigenous to Brazil, and supporting local food producers.
