The Red Sea, Saudi Arabia
Enveloped by the majestic Arabian desert, Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea is now open. The resort, designed by British architectural firm Foster + Partners, features 36 guest rooms and 40 pool villas with dunes and wadi views. The design incorporates locally sourced materials, echoing the vivid colours and patterns of traditional Bedouin life. The resort features four restaurants, a cooking school, a private chef’s table, and a unique Gelato Pod. With the Eat With Six Senses ethos at its core, ingredients are either cultivated in the Chef’s Garden or locally sourced, ensuring health and well-being. From architecture to activities, guests will be immersed in a world that marries the ancient Nabataean culture with activities like sadu weaving, local fishing, cooking, or an exploration of the Artisan Village to dive deep into the region’s artistic and musical traditions. The honeycomb walls of Six Senses Spa mirror the patterns of the sand dunes, guiding guests to a salon, barber, biohacking recovery lounge, and treatment rooms. At the Alchemy Bar guests can handmake clean skincare products using the rich spices and fragrances once traded by the Nabateans. As with all Six Senses properties, sustainability is also at the forefront of the resort’s operations.
