The wait is finally over… Dubai has welcomed a new member to its luxury hotel family with The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai throwing open its doors to the world.

Based in Business Bay, The Lana, Dubai is the first of the Dorchester Collection’s luxury hotels to welcome guests in the Middle East and Asia and the brand’s 10th global property.

Taking inspiration from the city’s ever-changing skyline, the 225-room, 30-storey building showcases a striking interconnected design, featuring a central podium – The Lana Promenade – packed with retail outlets and restaurants and a shimmering rooftop infinity pool that surrenders views of Dubai’s skyline and the desert beyond.

Interiors imagined by Parisian duo, Gilles & Boissier, are all about modern minimalism and light with each room featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows that allow an unimpeded flow of natural brightness into rooms that are brimming with cultural influences of the UAE. Aesthetes will also be able to cast their artistic eye on a curated section of more than 50 art pieces, commissioned by local and global artists.

Those searching for the suite life can choose from The Lana’s signature suites – Marina Duplex and Marina Terrace Suites. Each suite comes with duplex layouts, double-height corner living rooms, and outdoor terraces on both levels. Plump for The Marina Royal Suite – The Lana Dubai’s presidential suite – with a balcony that runs the length of the entire hotel and views of the Burj Khalifa, or enjoy a stay in The Lana Royal Suite that wraps around the north corner of the building and comes with two bedrooms.

Eight restaurants are set to host the city’s gourmands with four of the venues developed in collaboration with several famed Michelin-starred chefs: Jean Imbert who also leads the culinary team at Dorchester Collection’s Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, Martín Berasategui, and pastry chef, Angelo Musa. The other four concepts developed exclusively for the hotel, will be led by executive chef of the hotel, Oliver Jackson and will serve up afternoon tea, cocktails and tapas, as well as cigars.

Situated only a 20-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, the hotel provides guests with luxury transfer options, such as custom Rolls-Royces and a futuristic foiler boat for leisurely cruises along the canal.

The opening of The Lana, Dubai follows on from the exciting news that the property will also be home to Dior’s first spa in the UAE, due to open in April. Set on the 29th floor of the hotel, the wellness facility will offer signature treatments exclusive to The Lana including Escale at The Lana, Dior Stone Therapy and D-Sculpt as well as a boutique that sells Dior’s skincare, beauty and fragrance lines, Dior Prestige, L’Or de Vie, Rouge Premier and La Collection Privée Christian Dior.
