Wandering the historic Plaza de Bolívar; shaking your hips at mega-club Theatron; and shopping for the latest Colombian chic at the Usaquén crafts market; Bogotá beats to its own drum and if you are in the UAE searching for cumbia rhythms, there is great news – Emirates has announced flights between the city and Dubai.
Taking to the skies on Monday June 3, passengers will be able to jump on daily flights between the emirate to The City of Eternal Spring via a brief pitstop in Miami.
The service will see flights depart Dubai International Airport at 2.15am and land at El Dorado International Airport at 3.25pm (local time) following a two hour and 35-minute layover at Miami International Airport.
Return flights will leave Bogotá at 5.25pm and touch down in Dubai at 11pm (local time) the following day with a two hour and 30-minute stopover in the USA.
The route to Bogotá is Emirates’ fourth gateway into South America after Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Buenos Aires in Argentina.
The activation of the route is the latest in a series of announcements by Emirates who have confirmed the relaunch of direct flights to Adelaide in Australia and an increase of services to South Korean capital, Seoul.
