UK aviation management firm Hangar8 has modified one of its aircraft to wish Prince George a happy first birthday yesterday (July 22).
The baby prince turned one yesterday and the message “Happy Birthday Prince George” was painted onto the Bombardier Challenger jet by British design studio Andrew Winch Designs.
The “birthday card” paintjob was believed to cost around GBP 120,000 (US $205,000), which is a new record, beating a Damien Hirst painting signed with a happy birthday note, which the artist gave to a former secretary at his former art college.
“In just a year, we estimate that Prince George has travelled around 33,000 ‘heir miles’ when he went to the Caribbean island of Mustique on holiday and then on his official trip to New Zealand and Australia,” Dustin Dryden, CEO of Hangar8.
