There’s sure to be more than one ‘desert rose’ on display in Dubai this month as Atlantis, The Palm joins forces with florist Al Lokrit International and luxury tea brand TWG Tea to make the emirate bloom.
The renowned five-star is making its debut at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this month, where it will recreate the stunning property in a 1.5 metre high and wide bouquet of flowers. Over a one-week period, the London event will draw 165,000 visitors, including a host of celebrities, and her Majesty the Queen, with live coverage from British broadcaster the BBC.
To coincide flower show, Atlantis will invite guests to enjoy large-scale floral sculptures, flower themed spa treatments and the chance to indulge with a flower themed menu in Ossiano, which is set to be transformed into a underwater floral seascape – from May 17-23.
Hotel guests will be treated to curtains of orchids, a flower staircase and themed floral sculptures, bringing to life a unique afternoon tea experience. An underwater floral seascape will complement a unique flower-themed afternoon tea menu complete with dishes such as Lobster profiteroles and Soucy flowers, Smoked salmon, cucumber flowers and saffron pancakes and TWG Tea Oud night tea infused milk chocolate crunchy mousse cake.
Guests will also get the chance to see and purchase what TWG Tea calls the 'rarest and most exclusive tea in the world'. TWG Tea's Yellow Gold Tea Buds was a blend once favoured by Chinese Emperors, which now has the addition of 24-karat gold, yielding a metallic and floral aftertaste.
