Peru-based luxury cruise operator Aqua Expeditions is set to re-launch its flagship vessel after an extensive refurbishment.
As the first company to offer a luxury cruise experience on the mighty Amazon river, Aqua Expeditions launched the M/V Aqua back in 2008.
Now, after an extensive refurbishment, the cruiser is once again set to offer guests the experience of a lifetime on the vast waterways of the second longest river in the world.
The entire cruise ship has been redesigned by renowned Peruvian architect Jordi Puig, and features a host of interior and technological enhancements.
Bathrooms and interiors in the 12 suites, which measure between 230-240 square feet, have been upgraded, with new blackout blinds added to the floor-to-ceiling windows and new furnishings throughout.
New wooden decking has also been introduced on the vessel’s upper deck, as well as an awning and new furniture.
At full capacity the ship holds 24 guests, who will be treated to an updated wine list created to accompany the haute cuisine prepared by the vessel’s executive chef, Pedro Miguel Schiaffino.
The news of the re-launch comes ahead of the third introduction to Aqua Expeditions’ fleet, Aqua Mekong, which will operate itineraries in Vietnam and Cambodia from early 2014.
M/V Aqua will be re-launched later this month and is taking bookings now.
