When it comes to her dogs, it seems that Maria Carey adheres wholeheartedly to the saying: “no expense spared.” According to reports, the Heartbreaker singer has shelled out an incredible US $195,000 for an ultra-luxury country break for her eight pooches, spending more than half on a private jet to transport her dogs to the UK, home of the world’s most expensive dog hotel.
Located on a private 12-acre field in rural Bristol, The Paw Seasons hotel is set in a 400-year-old Grade II listed cottage at the heart of the English countryside. A typical day for pampered pooches includes a private shuttle from the airport, long walks through the hotel’s private grounds and an afternoon swim.
When it comes to food, each doggie dish is expertly prepared by a private chef according to a tailor-made menu, something that Carey will send across herself, The Daily Mail reports. The hotel also makes use of a professional groomer, who is on duty to keep visiting dogs looking their best.
Last year, the hotel unveiled one of the most expensive all-inclusive dog holiday packages in the world. Priced at nearly $80,000, it included a limousine transfer, private chef, reiki treatments and specialist pampering sessions. Additional services included an Olympic athlete who doubled as a dog walker and a specially made DVD of the holiday.
Alongside Bristol, The Paw Seasons has three other dog hotels around the UK – including branches in Alderton, Wiltshire and Hawkesbury Common.
Mariah Carey has an estimated net worth of US $510 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
